As I sat Thursday morning drinking my coffee...planning my busy weekend (yes I did notice the weather forecast was calling for snow..lots of snow. I had plans..started with removing the fall decorations. Then putting the beautiful greenery ropes up on the picket fence, then on to hanging the wreaths on the doors. Times up car packed heading to Spring Mill to decorate my cabin for Christmas in the Village. The temperatures are dropping, sky is turning to a gray..
As I pulled up to the Village, unloaded my boxes at the cabin I decided to take a walk around. No activity, fall decorations still up..ummm, strange, but then I found out due to the weather the weekend had been cancelled..yes I was sad for I so enjoy this weekend. I knew though that with the upcoming weather it was necessary. Everything packed back up, heading home. My plans began re-formulating again..I'll finish decorating outside, yes that's what I would do. Whoops mother nature says nope as it started pouring down rain..
Sadness, but then joy at "found time" I started thinking about days long gone by of snow days, school cancelled, fun times ahead. Christmas music on, time to decorate inside...not as easy as it sounds for this is my first year in our new home. I love to decorate for Christmas, sometimes it seems that I'm still decorating up until Christmas..
We woke up Friday to snow, yippee! My husband helped me put shelves up, move items here and there as I continued decorating. Pot of ham and beans on the stove for lunch simmering away..yes life is good on this "found day"
Saturday proved to be the same as I finished my inside decorating, sat back enjoying my new home.
I'm so blessed, at times forget to sit back, enjoy life..yes snow days are God's gift reminding us of this.
